Fiverr is the most efficient way to keep cashing rolling in while you’re building your blog.

I’m going to show you how to make money on Fiverr so you can do both at the same time.

“What is Fiverr?”

Fiverr is a website where people can go to purchase a service or task for a minimum of five bucks.

The services are known as “Gigs”, and they can be anything – and I do mean anything.

No, not that kind of ‘anything.’

They keep it 100% free of offensive or obscene content, which is part of what makes it a great place to market yourself.

The best thing about Fiverr is that it gets a ton of traffic.

You can be making sales within minutes of setting your account and creating your first gig.

Create Your Account

Setting up your account at Fiverr is simple.

1. Go to Fiverr.com
2. Enter your email address
3. Pick a username and password
4. Confirm your email address with the link they send you

It couldn’t be any easier, right?

Now you’re ready to get started.

Make Money on Fiverr

Making money on Fiverr as a writer is really easy.

Just set up your gig a little different from everyone else and you’ll get some attention.

In order to stand out, you have to find out what everyone else is doing on Fiverr.

Just search for the types of jobs you want to do and see what everyone is offering.

If you search “writing articles” you can see that most people are offering 500 words or less for $5.

So if you wanted to stand out you could offer 750 words or 1000 words for the same amount.

It may be more work but you will stand out, build a reputation and then your buyers will keep coming back to you even when you increase your prices.

With just a few minutes of research, you could find several areas you can improve on.

It could be that no one is including videos in their gig, so include a brief intro video for your gig.

Or maybe everyone says they can do the job in 3 days, so you will do the job in 2 days.

You can also innovate with your pictures, details, and descriptions, and even in how you deliver the product.

Make sure you spend 5-15 minutes checking on the competition.

Then, decide how you will innovate and stand to get those first few sales.

Once you have a few sales, things change.

Level 2, Time For a Change!

Once you’ve successfully completed enough gigs to move to level two you need to make some changes.

For starters, level 2 sellers are granted “Gig Extras”.

Extras allow you to add more things to your gig, which allows you to charge more.

For example, you can say, “I will add 100 words for $10″

You get four extras that you can charge an additional $5 to $40 for.

This is when your hard work starts to pay off.  But there’s still more you can do.

Now, You’re a Blogger

You might notice a lot of people on Fiverr, call themselves “writers.”

That’s fine to start out with, but now YOU need to specialize.

Change all your gigs to say “blog” and “Blogger”.

Saying you’re a writer implies many things.

Most don’t see the word writer online and think of Stephen King.

Instead, they see someone who’s willing to type for pennies.

However, when you make the effort to say “I’m a blogger”, people notice.

Being a blogger means you understand web content and the way people read things online.

There are a lot of really great clients looking for that type of specialty now.

They want more than just another writer.

Buyer Requests

Another great way to increase your income on Fiverr is to look into the “Buyer requests” in your sales section.

If you search through these you will find all kinds of ideas for gigs you can create.

However, you can take this one step further and contact the buyer, right inside Fiverr.

Tell them who you are, what you do and why you’re the perfect person to complete the task they need.

You can only do this ten times per day so make them count.

I wrote on Fiverr for two months before I left for bigger and better things.

While I was there I used buyer requests to meet clients and develop relationships with them.

I consistently delivered quality content, on time and they rewarded me with loyalty.

Outgrowing Fiverr

When I left Fiverr, most of the clients I worked with followed me.

They’d grown with me and had learned to accept nothing less than the quality I was giving them.

Does this mean I’m some kind of super great writer?

No, not really. It just means I listened to them.

I took the time to hear their needs when other “writers” just wanted to get through the job.

Developing a line of communication with them allowed learning more about them.

Sometimes clients don’t know how to tell you what they want – they just know it when they see it.

Getting them to communicate with you will tell you everything you need to know.

Once you do that, they will never be able to find someone as good as you.
